About

Dr. Yusko teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in curriculum and instruction, with an emphasis on middle grades teaching in urban settings. His research focuses on teacher learning, specifically on professional development opportunities that help teachers learn to design and deliver student-centered instruction. Dr. Yusko has designed Video CD-ROMs for instructional materials in undergraduate teacher education courses and developed online versions of EDB 200 and EDB 612. He is currently researching the uses of video for teacher learning and mentoring. As part of this, he is involved in the revision of the current college portfolio system and the pilot of the new state-wide Teacher Performance Assessment.
