About
Dr. Little's research over the last 20 years has focused on exercise and bone density in women, including postmenopausal women, pregnant and breastfeeding women. She is also interested in bone loss in amenorrheic athletes associated with the Female Athlete Triad. She was selected as a member of the writing committee for the American College of Sports Medicine's Position Stand on Physical Activity and Bone Health, which was published in 2004. She has also conducted studies on the maternal and fetal benefits of exercise during pregnancy, as well as studies comparing body composition assessment methods in both adults and infants.
Dr. Little's hobbies include volunteering weekly at the Cleveland Animal Protective League where she walks dogs and cleans kennels, running year-round with her two Labrador Retrievers (Brindley and Pete), kayaking in the summer, and cross-country skiing in the winter.
