Rose recently completed the edited volume Gender in Germany and Beyond: The Legacy of Jean Quataert and is currently working on a book manuscript Gender and the Politics of Peace: Cooperative Activism and Transnational Networks on the German Left, 1921-1983 that examines gendered conceptualizations of peace as “feminine” compared to assumptions that militarism and war are historically “masculine.” In 2016, she was appointed as a founding coordinator of the German Studies Association Digital Humanities Network. Her digital humanities interests also include a range of teaching and historical thinking initiatives, including History Speaks: Using Oral History to Teach Historical Thinking and the CSU Social Studies Program Blog: Social Studies @ CSU. In May 2020 she created the Cleveland Teaching Collaborative with Dr. Molly Buckley- Marudas to curate pandemic teaching & learning as well as provide a supportive network for Pk-12 & higher education instructors.
