Timothy DeGroot earned his Ph.D. in Management (HR/OB) in 1997 from the University of Florida and has an M.B.A. from Florida State University. Among the outlets in which his research has been published are Personnel Psychology, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Management, Leadership Quarterly and Human Resource Management Journal.  Dr. DeGroot is a member of the Academy of Management and his primary research interests are in employee selection, contextual job performance, and leadership, all areas in which he teaches courses.  Dr. DeGroot has been a consultant to numerous firms and has presented seminars and lectures to many groups.
