Abstract
At the time of Mary Lawrence’s retirement, she began working on an ambitious history project. She hoped to chronicle the early history of Legal Writing with a series of interviews. The interviewees were to include Marjorie Rombauer, the “founders” of LWI (Laurel Oates and Chris Rideout), and Ralph Brill. Mary Lawrence was able to complete the first two installments; however, declining health prevented her from fully completing the third installment, featuring Ralph Brill. This Article, based on transcriptions of Mary Lawrence’s interviews with Ralph Brill, completes the trilogy.
