Abstract
In sum, a successfully implemented Gender Persecution Policy can lead toward higher numbers of convictions of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) crimes, including gender persecution crimes. Additionally, a successful implementation of the Policy may ensure that the International Criminal Court’s Office of the Prosecutor's (ICC OTP) focus remains on the prosecution of gender persecution. Although the Gender Persecution Policy is a progressive and impressive document, it remains crucial for the OTP to remain committed to ensuring its successful implementation.
