Abstract
This study analyzes the dynamics of urban voting behavior and the worth of different political credentials in council elections. Data for the analysis are drawn from Cincinnati, Ohio, a city whose electoral system is representative of the majority of American cities of over 25,000 population that currently employ nonpartisan, at-large elections.
