    Abstract

    © 2018 by Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. There are more than 20 heavy metal toxins contributing to a variety of adverse health effects in humans. Exposed individuals experience different behavioral, physiological, and cognitive changes depending on the type of the toxin and the degree of exposure by the individual. This chapter presents the sources of exposure, toxicity, and control technologies of Cu, Zn, Mo, Ag, and rare earth elements in the environment.
